A gentle approach with a profound impact

A horse that isn’t feeling well often shows it in subtle ways. You start to notice things like changes in behavior, reduced movement, tension, or an “unexplained” sense of restlessness. If your horse is holding onto something—whether physically or energetically—it can help to encourage the energy in its body to start flowing again.

In my sessions, I use gentle, profound methods that tap into the horse’s natural healing abilities. I encourage the body to release tension, remove blockages, and regain balance. Not by forcing it, but by listening, anticipating, and allowing space for whatever needs to unfold.

Sessions can be booked individually, but they also complement each other very well when taken in sequence.

Unwinding

During unwinding, I let the body take the lead. In complete attunement, I follow the micro-movements that arise as the horse releases tension. The body is allowed to find its own rhythm to release, recover, and reorient. From a very loving and safe foundational stance, I assist the horse with rhythmic bodywork to heal even more parts of its nervous system. This approach invites deep relaxation and healing.

Fascia release

Fascia is the connective tissue that connects everything in the body. When tension, adhesions, or trauma become trapped within it, this can affect movement, behavior, and well-being. Using gentle pressure, stretching, and a sensitive touch, I help the fascia release tension and regain its suppleness. This results in greater freedom of movement, improved circulation, relaxation, and the restoration of balance throughout the entire system.

Additional support

Each session is tailored to the individual horse and whatever arises in the moment. Where necessary and appropriate, I use complementary techniques that naturally support the body and nervous system:

  • Medical taping – supports muscle function, reduces pain or swelling, and stimulates lymphatic drainage.
  • Massage techniques – for local relaxation or stimulation.
  • Energetic alignment – to recognize and release tension at a deeper level.
  • Aromatherapy with essential oils – focused on relaxation, detoxification, or emotional support. The oils are carefully selected based on what the horse itself indicates.
  • Bach flower remedies – using natural remedies to restore emotional balance, for example in cases of stress, anxiety, or overstimulation.

I always work with what the horse needs—no more, no less. Everything is done in harmony, everything is done gently. And, of course, I always coordinate with you as a person when additional supportive materials are used.

Who is this session suitable for?

A session can be very beneficial for horses with:

  • Mobility issues, stiffness, or misalignment
  • Unexplained anxiety or behavioral changes
  • Overstimulated, withdrawn, or restless behavior
  • Recovery from injury or illness
  • Need for relaxation, maintenance, or deeper engagement

Even horses without any immediate issues can benefit from a session to support their training or to work on balance and well-being as a preventive measure. A day of spa treatments hasn’t hurt anyone yet, has it? ;-).

Practical

The rate for a session lasting approximately 1.5 hours is €75, excluding VAT

On-site appointments are always subject to confirmation that the distance is feasible, or that a fee will be charged (0.24 per km).

The aura reading and unwinding session were a truly special experience. The reading provided deep insight into what was going on with Kamber—it felt as though he was finally able to speak up. During the unwinding session, he gradually released his tension, guided by Sanne’s gentle and respectful approach. I now feel a deeper connection with my horse and have gained valuable tools. I highly recommend it!
